The Scenic Hudson Land Trust Board Director
Leigh has been a supporter of Scenic Hudson as donor and board director since the 1990s. He lives in Cold Spring and Manhattan. A graduate of Columbia College and Columbia Law School, Leigh practiced finance law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore before co-founding First Reserve Corporation, a large private equity fund. He has been a private investor in various industries. At present, he is active as a founding investor in and advisor to privately held cybersecurity and pharmaceutical development companies. For two decades, Leigh has been a board director of the major donor organization of Trout Unlimited, a 65-year-old water and fishery conservation foundation with operations in all states of the US. Over the same period, he has served as a board director of Checkerboard Film Foundation, which has produced more than 30 documentaries centered on interviews with living major American artists and architects.
